Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This instrument directs the Minister’s assessment priorities under the EPBC Act so nominations tied to wildlife corridors and connecting habitats (including freshwater) received expedited review from 1 October 2012. It affects anyone nominating species, ecological communities or threatening processes by moving connectivity-focused nominations ahead in the assessment queue. It does not itself list or confer legal protection.
