17 Functions of the Advisory Committee
The functions of the Advisory Committee are: (a) to provide a formal forum for consultation with persons and bodies on: (i) matters relating to the effects on the environment in the Alligator Rivers Region of uranium mining operations in the Region; and (ii) matters relating to environmental research conducted in the Region that are referred to it by the Technical Committee; and (b) such other functions as are conferred on it by this Act.
