159 Appointment or authorisation of environmental officers (1) The CEO may appoint or authorise a person as an environmental officer. (2) The CEO must not appoint or authorise a person as an environmental officer unless satisfied that the person has the skills, qualifications, training or experience to properly perform the functions of an environmental officer. (3) A police officer is an environmental officer for this Act.
