473Continuation of exemptions

473 Continuation of exemptions (a) immediately before the commencement day, a person is exempt from a requirement to hold an old permission; and (b) under the new Act, there is a new permission that is the equivalent of the old permission, and it is possible under the new Act to obtain an exemption from the requirement to hold the new permission. (2) The person is taken, for the purposes of the new Act, to be exempt from the requirement to hold the new permission. (3) Despite subsection (2), an exemption continued in force under that subsection ceases to be in force at the end of the period of 5 years beginning on the commencement day.
