471Continuation of permissions

471 Continuation of permissions (a) immediately before the commencement day, a person holds an old permission; and (b) under the new Act, there is a new permission that is the equivalent of the old permission (see section 470). (2) The person is taken to hold the new permission on and from the commencement day. (3) Subject to section 472, the new permission is taken to be subject to the same conditions as those to which the old permission was subject immediately before the commencement day. (4) Subsection (2) applies as if— (a) the new permission the person is taken to hold is the new permission referred to in Column 3 of the Table at the foot of section 470 opposite the equivalent old permission; and (b) the new permission had been issued or granted (as the case requires) under the relevant provision of this Act.
