469 General transitional provisions (1) Except where the contrary intention appears, this Chapter, and regulations under this Chapter, do not affect or take away from the **Interpretation of Legislation Act 1984**. (2) If a provision of the old Act continues to have effect because of this Chapter, or regulations under this Chapter, the following provisions also continue to have effect— (a) any other provisions of the old Act that are related to the continued provision and that need to continue to be in force in order for the continued provision to have full force and effect, including any relevant definition; (b) any regulations made under the old Act for the purposes of the continued provision. (3) This Chapter, and regulations under this Chapter, apply despite anything to the contrary in the old Act.
