357Objective of the Authority

357 Objective of the Authority (1) The objective of the Authority is to protect human health and the environment by reducing the harmful effects of pollution and waste. S. 6(2) amended by No. 39/2018 s. 11, renumbered as s. 357(2) by No. 39/2018 s. 22. (2) The Authority must exercise its powers and perform its duties and functions under this Act or any other Act for the purposes of achieving the objective set out in subsection (1) to the extent that it is practicable to do so having regard to the nature of the power being exercised or the duty or function being performed. S. 7 substituted as s. 358 by No. 39/2018 s. 12 (as amended by No. 27/2019 s. 31).
