345 Service of documents—alternative to attendance (1) A person who gives or serves a document under this Act may, instead of attending proceedings under this Act— (a) make an affidavit endorsed on, or attached to and identifying, the original document stating the time and manner in which the true copy of the document was given or served; and (b) transmit the original document for production at the proceedings. (2) A document purporting to be an affidavit under subsection (1) is to be received in proceedings as prima facie evidence of the statements contained therein.
