340 Reports and certificates to be served with summons (1) This section applies if a person (the ***accused***) is served with a summons to answer to a charge of an offence against this Act or the regulations. (2) A copy of a report or certificate under this Act that the prosecutor intends to use in the proceedings for the offence must be served with the summons. (3) Service of a copy of a report or certificate with the summons may be proved in any manner in which service of the summons may be proved. (4) If the accused does not give at least 7 days' notice in writing before the hearing that the accused requires the person giving the report or certificate to be called as a witness, the report or certificate is sufficient evidence of the facts stated in it.
