338 Certificate concerning ownership of vehicle or vessel In proceedings against a registered owner of a vehicle or vessel, a certificate from— S. 338(a) amended by Nos 34/2023 s. 127(Sch. 1 item 4.2), 25/2025 s. 100. (a) the Secretary to the Department of Transport and Planning or Safe Transport Victoria; or (b) a corresponding person or body in the Commonwealth or another State or a Territory— stating that a person was the registered owner of a vehicle or vessel on a specified date is evidence that that person was the registered owner of the vehicle or vessel on that date.
