252 Authorised officer may require production of documents (1) An authorised officer who enters a place or premises under this Division may do all or any of the following for the purpose of performing a function or duty or exercising a power under this Act— (a) require a person to produce a document or part of a document, located at the place or premises, that is in the person's possession or control; (b) examine the document or part of the document; (c) retain the document or part of the document for as long as is reasonably necessary to fulfil the purpose that it is required for; (d) take extracts from and make copies of the document or part of the document. (2) A person must not, without reasonable excuse, refuse or fail to comply with a request under subsection (1).
