108 Consultation on position statements (1) Before making a position statement under section 105, the Authority must comply with this section. (2) The Authority must— (a) prepare a draft position statement; and (b) publish notice of the draft position statement and a request for comment on the draft position statement within a specified period— (i) in the Government Gazette; and (ii) on the Internet site of the Authority; and (iii) in any other publication intended for general circulation in Victoria that the Authority considers appropriate; and (c) publish a copy of the draft position statement on the Internet site of the Authority. (3) After the expiry of the specified period, the Authority— (a) must consider any comments received by the Authority within the specified period; and (b) may make the position statement in accordance with section 105 with or without modifications to the draft position statement.
