Environment protection policies are documents prepared by the
authority, in accordance with this part and relevant best practice,
setting out—
(a) guidelines to which the authority must have regard in
administering this Act generally or in relation to specified
functions of the authority; or
(b) guidelines for effective environment protection and
management within a particular industry or for the community
generally; or
(c) matters that the authority may take into account in relation to the
making of a decision in the exercise of a discretion under this
Act.
