111 Power to require name and address
(1) If an authorised officer—
(a) finds a person committing an offence against this Act; or
(b) has reasonable grounds for believing that a person has
committed an offence against this Act;
the officer—
(c) may require the person to state the person’s name and address;
and
(d) in doing so, must —
(i) inform the person of the reasons for the requirement; and
(ii) as soon as practicable afterwards, record those reasons.
(2) A person is not required to comply with a requirement under
subsection (1) if, on request by the person, the authorised officer does
not produce the officer’s identity card.
(3) Subject to subsection (2), a person must not, without reasonable
excuse, fail to comply with a requirement under subsection (1).
Maximum penalty: 5 penalty units.
