#### 18 Time for making of payment by entertainment industry hirers 18 Time for making of payment by entertainment industry hirers > An entertainment industry hirer who is required to make a payment to a performer in relation to a performance must not, without reasonable excuse, fail to make the payment within— > > > (a) 1 calendar month after the date of the performance, or > > > (b) such other period as may be specified in an agreement between the performer and the hirer in writing. > > Note. > > Section 43 provides that the industrial court or Local Court may order a person to pay a pecuniary penalty not exceeding $10,000 for a contravention of this section.
