Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

These rules expand the eSafety Commissioner’s remit to specifically protect people experiencing family and domestic violence from technology-facilitated abuse. They require the Commissioner to promote tailored education, run targeted programs and training, and provide grant funding to organisations that help victims counter online stalking, harassment and non-consensual image sharing.

This directs dedicated resources to adults and children at risk so victims can better recognise and defend against digital forms of control and abuse.
