40Directions

40 Directions (1) The Minister may, by instrument in writing served on a licensee, give to the licensee directions as to any matter in respect of which regulations may be made under this Act. (2) A direction under subsection (1) has effect and shall be complied with notwithstanding anything in the Regulations and, to the extent to which the Regulations are inconsistent with the direction, the licensee to whom the direction is given is not obliged to comply with the Regulations. (3) A licensee to whom a direction under subsection (1) is given shall comply with and not contravene the direction.
