##### 79. Obstruction of officers etc. (1) A person who without reasonable excuse wilfully obstructs an energy operator or any inspector, or any other person to whom section 68(6) applies, lawfully performing any function commits an offence and is liable on conviction to a penalty not exceeding $2 000. (2) Subject to section 69, a person who without reasonable excuse fails to furnish to an energy operator, or to any other person to whom section 68(6) applies who is lawfully performing any function any access to apparatus or any facility or other assistance which that person may lawfully and reasonably be required to furnish in order to enable the energy operator or an inspector to carry out the duties required by this Act, or any information which that person is expressly required by or under this Act to furnish or which may otherwise lawfully be required by him, or who, when required to give any such information, knowingly makes any false or misleading statement in relation thereto, shall for the purposes of subsection (1) be treated as having been guilty of wilful obstruction.
