End-of-Life Choices (Voluntary Assisted Dying) Regulations 2022 supplies a few technical rules for the Act: it sets the regulations' citation, makes them commence when the Act commences, defines “the Act”, and prescribes the National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters (NAATI) as the translator accreditation body used under section 15(4)(c)(ii) of the Act (regs 1–4). The regulations do not set fees or change the Act’s substantive eligibility or procedures; administration is assigned to the Department of Health.

These regulations may be cited as the End-of-Life Choices (Voluntary Assisted Dying) Regulations 2022 .
These regulations take effect on the day on which the End-of-Life Choices (Voluntary Assisted Dying) Act 2021 commences.
In these regulations –
the Act means the End-of-Life Choices (Voluntary Assisted Dying) Act 2021 .
For the purposes of section 15(4)(c)(ii) of the Act, the National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters Limited (ABN 42 008 596 996) is prescribed.
