### 60 PMP to decide whether to be AHP
> If a person’s PMP has determined a final request by the person by determining under [section 55(a)](#GS55@Hpa@EN) that the person is eligible to access voluntary assisted dying, the PMP (or, if another person has become the person’s PMP after the person’s final request has been determined under [section 55(a)](#GS55@Hpa@EN) , that person) must, as soon as reasonably practicable but in any case within 48 hours, advise the person as to whether –
>
> > > (a) the PMP is to be the person’s AHP; or
> >
> > > (b) the PMP does not intend to be the person’s AHP and intends to request the Commission to appoint an AHP in relation to the person.
