20K Other termination of service of contributor
(1) The Board must not make any payments under this section until it receives a statement in the form approved by the Board by or on behalf of the contributor as to whether the contributor claims to have ceased to be employed by reason of retrenchment or whilst suffering from disability or ill health.

(2) When a contributor ceases to be employed before attaining the age of 50 years other than by reason of death or retrenchment, or whilst suffering from disability or ill health, the contributor is entitled to be paid a sum equal to the sum of—
(a) the accrued benefit of the contributor at the date 5 years before the date of resignation, or if at that date the contributor was a member of a prior fund or an approved superannuation arrangement the percentage of salary that is determined by the Board; and
(b) the adjusted total contributions of the contributor to the Scheme, a prior fund or approved superannuation arrangement in the period since the date 5 years prior to the date of resignation; and
(c) 3% of the salary of the contributor at the date of termination for each year of contribution by the contributor on or after 1 January 1987 up to a maximum of 5 years.
(3) If a contributor ceases to be employed after attaining the age of 45 years other than by reason of death or retrenchment, or whilst suffering from disability or ill health, there is to be substituted for the period of the 5 years in subsection (2) the period in years and complete months from the date of termination of service to the date on which the contributor would attain the age of 50 years.
