99 Appointment of inspectors (1) The chief officer (fire and rescue service) and the chief officer (rural fire service) are inspectors for this Act. (2) The chief officer (fire and rescue service) may appoint a member of the fire and rescue service as an inspector for this Act. (3) The chief officer (rural fire service) may appoint a member of the rural fire service as an inspector for this Act. naming a person or nominating the occupant of a position (see s 207).
