129Advisory council members

129 Advisory council members (1) The Minister must appoint the advisory council members. (2) The Minister may appoint a person as a member only if the Minister considers the person has the appropriate qualifications or experience to assist the council to exercise its functions. (3) The following must not be appointed under subsection (1): (a) the commissioner; (b) an assistant commissioner; (c) the chief officer of an emergency service.

Multi-hazard advisory council Chapter 6 (4) A person must not be appointed for a term that is longer than 4 years. (5) A person must not be appointed for more than 2 consecutive terms.
