119 Bushfire season (1) For this division, the bushfire season is the period from the beginning of October in a year to the end of March in the next year. (2) However, the commissioner may declare a different date to be the beginning or end of a particular bushfire season. (3) Before making a declaration, the commissioner must consult with the advisory council. (4) A declaration is a notifiable instrument.
