100 Appointment of investigators (1) The chief officer (fire and rescue service) and the chief officer (rural fire service) are investigators for this Act. (2) The chief officer (fire and rescue service) may appoint a member of the fire and rescue service as an investigator for this Act. (3) The chief officer (rural fire service) may appoint a member of the rural fire service as an investigator for this Act. naming a person or nominating the occupant of a position (see s 207).
