34 Object and application of part
(1) The object of this part is to regulate the removal and trimming of trees by distributors so as to minimise damage to or the destruction of trees growing under or near power lines.
(2) This part—
(a) applies only to the extent a distributor may lawfully remove or trim trees, and

removing or trimming trees on behalf of a council
(b) does not otherwise authorise the removal or trimming of trees.
