93B Operating a network infrastructure project transmission system

93B Operating a network infrastructure project transmission system

(1) A person must not, without a transmission operator’s licence, operate a transmission system that is the subject of—

(a) a network operator’s appointment under the Electricity Infrastructure Investment Act 2020, section 31A(1), or

(b) a network operator’s direction given under the Electricity Infrastructure Investment Act 2020, section 32(1), or

(c) a network operator’s authorisation under the Electricity Infrastructure Investment Act 2020, section 36(2).

Maximum penalty—5,000 penalty units.

(2) To avoid doubt—

(a) the Minister may grant transmission operator’s licences for this section, and

(b) Schedule 2 applies to the granting, variation, transfer and cancellation of transmission operator’s licences, and

(c) the Minister may grant a transmission operator’s licence under section 93A(2) for this section on an application made before the commencement of this section.
