sec.166 Marking and labelling particular fluorescent lamp ballasts

This section applies to a fluorescent lamp ballast, other than a ballast to which the standard mentioned in schedule 4 , part 1 , item 6, applies. A person must not mark the ballast with an energy efficiency label unless the label— complies with the labelling requirements of the standard mentioned in subsection (1) ; and is marked on the ballast in the way shown in the standard. Maximum penalty—20 penalty units. If an energy efficiency label is marked on the ballast, a person must not sell the ballast unless it conforms with the energy efficiency rating shown on the label.
