Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

These regulations give Western Power Corporation (WPC) the explicit function of doing anything the Minister requires to deal with assets, rights or liabilities covered by section 169 of the Electricity Corporations Act 2005. They commence on 1 April 2006 and apply in the Act’s transitional phase. This matters because it makes WPC the entity that must implement ministerial directions about unallocated electricity-sector assets and liabilities during the transition.
