sec.56 Meaning of relevant standard for level 2 or 3 in-scope electrical equipment
A standard is a relevant standard for a type of level 2 or level 3 in-scope electrical equipment if it is a standard— shown in the defining standard as the relevant standard for the type, and the standard can be readily applied to the type; or accepted by the regulator as a standard that can be readily applied to the type; or accepted under a corresponding law as a standard that can be readily applied to the type. The acceptance of a standard under subsection (1) (b) or (c) has effect subject to compliance with any requirements stated— for subsection (1) (b) —by the regulator as part of the regulator’s acceptance of the standard; or for subsection (1) (c) —as part of the acceptance of the standard under the corresponding law.
