sec.250 Substation requirements
The following requirements apply for a substation forming part of the works of an electricity entity— there must be safe access to, and exit from, the substation; a building or enclosure forming part of the substation must be secure, and all reasonable care must be taken to stop unauthorised access to the building or enclosure; electrical equipment forming part of the substation must meet relevant standards for electrical safety of persons and property; the substation must have appropriate signs, labels, warning notices and barriers.
- (a) there must be safe access to, and exit from, the substation;
- (b) a building or enclosure forming part of the substation must be secure, and all reasonable care must be taken to stop unauthorised access to the building or enclosure;
- (c) electrical equipment forming part of the substation must meet relevant standards for electrical safety of persons and property;
- (d) the substation must have appropriate signs, labels, warning notices and barriers.
