sec.15 Measures to avoid risk of contact with underground electric line
This section applies if work to be carried out at a workplace involves a risk of contact with an underground electric line. A person conducting a business or undertaking at the workplace must ensure that— a risk assessment is conducted for the proposed work; and control measures implemented are consistent with— the risk assessment; and if an electricity entity is responsible for the electric line—any requirements of the entity. Maximum penalty—60 penalty units. (sec.15-ssec.1) This section applies if work to be carried out at a workplace involves a risk of contact with an underground electric line. (sec.15-ssec.2) A person conducting a business or undertaking at the workplace must ensure that— a risk assessment is conducted for the proposed work; and control measures implemented are consistent with— the risk assessment; and if an electricity entity is responsible for the electric line—any requirements of the entity.
- (a) a risk assessment is conducted for the proposed work; and
- (b) control measures implemented are consistent with— (i) the risk assessment; and (ii) if an electricity entity is responsible for the electric line—any requirements of the entity.
