#### 14 Road user charge 14 Road user charge > > (1) For a relevant zero or low emissions vehicle, the road user charge for a period is the road user charge rate multiplied by the number of kilometres travelled by the vehicle on public land in the period. > > > (2) For the purposes of subsection (1), the number of kilometres travelled by a relevant zero or low emissions vehicle in a period is to be calculated by— > > > > > (a) taking the difference between the odometer of the vehicle at the start of the period and the end of the period, and > > > > > (b) reducing the number of kilometres measured under paragraph (a) by deducting— > > > > > > > (i) any kilometres Transport for NSW is satisfied have been travelled on private land, and > > > > > > > (ii) any other kilometres prescribed by the regulations. > > > (3) The number of kilometres travelled by a zero or low emissions vehicle in a period is to be rounded down to the nearest kilometre.
