#### 48 Prohibition on political donations to independent candidates by parties and associated entities and persons 48 Prohibition on political donations to independent candidates by parties and associated entities and persons (cf section 96EA EFED Act) > > (1) It is unlawful for a party, or a candidate or elected member endorsed by a party or an associated entity of a party, to make a political donation to a candidate, or a group of candidates, not endorsed by that or any other party. > > > (2) It is unlawful for such a candidate or candidates to accept the political donation.
