#### 123 Procedure for appointing or revoking appointment of party agents 123 Procedure for appointing or revoking appointment of party agents > > (1) The appointment, or the revocation of the appointment, of a party agent is to be made by notice in writing to the Electoral Commission. > > > (2) The appointment, or the revocation of the appointment, of a party agent does not take effect until the appropriate action has been taken under section 124. > > > (3) The giving of notice under this Division is to be in the manner and form approved by the Electoral Commission. > > > (4) A notice of the appointment of a party agent is not properly given unless it is accompanied by the signed acceptance of appointment of the person appointed. > > > (5) A person appointed to any office or position under the [Electoral Act 2017](/view/html/inforce/current/act-2017-066) is not eligible to be a party agent.
