#### 93 Proceedings after nomination day—election is required 93 Proceedings after nomination day—election is required > > (1) If at 12 noon on the nomination day— > > > > > (a) there are 2 or more candidates for election for a district, or > > > > > (b) there are more than 21 candidates for election at a periodic Council election, > > > > a poll is required to take place for that election. > > > (2) If a poll is required to take place for an election, the Electoral Commissioner must, on the day after nomination day (or as soon as is reasonably practicable after that day), announce— > > > > > (a) that the poll is to be taken on the day named in the writ for that election, and > > > > > (b) the names of the candidates, and > > > > > (c) in relation to a periodic Council election—the names of any candidates who are included in a group, and > > > > > (d) the suburb, town or other locality of the enrolled address of each candidate (as stated on the nomination paper). > > > (3) The Electoral Commissioner must, as soon as is reasonably practicable after that announcement, give public notice in the manner determined by the Electoral Commissioner of the following matters— > > > > > (a) matters referred to in subsection (2), > > > > > (b) the date of the election day, > > > > > (c) a list of voting centres for the election.
