#### 92 Proceedings after nomination day—no election is required 92 Proceedings after nomination day—no election is required > > (1) If at 12 noon on the nomination day there is only one candidate for election for a district, the Electoral Commissioner must— > > > > > (a) on the day after nomination day, publicly declare that candidate to be duly elected, and > > > > > (b) as soon as is reasonably practicable after that declaration— > > > > > > > (i) publicly advertise the declaration in the district, and > > > > > > > (ii) return the writ endorsed according to that declaration. > > > (2) If at 12 noon on the nomination day there are not more than 21 candidates for election at a periodic Council election, the Electoral Commissioner must— > > > > > (a) on the day after nomination day, publicly declare those candidates to be duly elected, and > > > > > (b) as soon as is reasonably practicable after that declaration— > > > > > > > (i) publicly advertise the declaration, and > > > > > > > (ii) return the writ endorsed according to that declaration.
