#### 22 Public notice of redistribution 22 Public notice of redistribution > > (1) As soon as practicable after the Redistribution Panel has been advised that a distribution is required, the Panel is to give public notice of the redistribution— > > > > > (a) in the Gazette, and > > > > > (b) on the Electoral Commission’s website, and > > > > > (c) in a newspaper published or circulating in New South Wales. > > > (2) The public notice must invite suggestions relating to the distribution of New South Wales into electoral districts to be— > > > > > (a) in writing, and > > > > > (b) lodged with the Redistribution Panel within 30 days after the date the public notice was given (the suggestion period). > > > (3) The Redistribution Panel must make a copy of the suggestions lodged with the Panel under this section available for public inspection on the Electoral Commission’s website within 5 business days after the expiry of the suggestion period (the publication period). > > > (4) The public notice must invite comments relating to any suggestions received by the Redistribution Panel under this section to be— > > > > > (a) in writing, and > > > > > (b) lodged with the Panel within 14 days after the expiry of the publication period (the comments period). > > > (5) The Redistribution Panel must make a copy of any comment lodged with the Panel under this section available for public inspection on the Electoral Commission’s website as soon as reasonably practicable after the expiry of the comments period. > > **s 22:** Am 2026 No 6, Sch 1\[7\].
