143 Reference of question as to qualification or vacancy (1) The Assembly may by resolution refer to the Court of Disputed Returns any question in relation to— (a) the qualification of a person to be, or continue to be, a member of the Assembly; or (b) a vacancy in the Assembly. (2) The Council may by resolution refer to the Court of Disputed Returns any question in relation to— (a) the qualification of a person to be, or continue to be, a member of the Council; or (b) a vacancy in the Council. (3) The Court of Disputed Returns has jurisdiction to hear and determine a question referred under this section.
