Act Number

104 of 1995

Collection

legislative instrument

Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

What it does: This instrument formally scraps the 1990 regulations that established how the Egg Industry Research and Development Council was structured and operated.

Who it affects: Egg producers who previously paid research levies (mandatory fees collected from farmers to fund industry research) and the council itself.

Why it matters: This removes outdated administrative rules from the statute books, likely because the egg industry's research funding body was being reorganised, merged with other bodies, or had its governance structure simplified under the Primary Industries and Energy Research and Development Act 1989.
