#### 10 Special tuition protection component (1) A registered provider’s special tuition protection component for a year is worked out in accordance with the following formula: ![](image.005.png) (2) Before the beginning of each year, the TPS Director must, by legislative instrument, specify a percentage for that year for the purposes of subsection (1). > Note: For rules relating to making the legislative instrument, see section 11. (3) The percentage specified can be zero.
