22 Constitution of parents and citizens associations and kindred associations

22 Constitution of parents and citizens associations and kindred associations

(1) For the Act, section 115(1), relevant persons may resolve to constitute an association for a government school at a meeting at which at least 7 relevant persons—

(a) resolve to form the association, and

(b) appoint the following from the relevant persons present—

(i) a president,

(ii) at least 2 vice-presidents,

(iii) a treasurer,

(iv) a secretary.

(2) A person appointed to an office referred to in this section holds office until a successor is appointed in accordance with the association’s rules.

(3) In this section—

relevant persons means—

(a) parents of children attending the school, and

(b) residents of the district served by the school.
