sec.81 Internal review decision

Within 7 days after receiving the written recommendation mentioned in section 80 (4) , the authority must make a decision under this section (an internal review decision ). However, the authority is not required to follow the written recommendation. The internal review decision must— confirm the reviewable decision; or amend the reviewable decision; or substitute another decision for the reviewable decision. Within 7 days after making the internal review decision, the authority must give the applicant notice (the review notice ) of the decision. The review notice must comply with the QCAT Act , section 157 (2) . If the authority does not give the review notice within 7 days after making the internal review decision, it is taken to have confirmed the reviewable decision.
