sec.30 Leave of absence
The Minister may approve a leave of absence for a member. The Minister may appoint another person to act in the office of the member during the leave of absence. Subsection (2) does not limit the power of the Governor in Council, under the Acts Interpretation Act 1954 , section 25 (1) (b) (v) to appoint a person to act in the office during the leave of absence. If the Minister approves a leave of absence for the deputy chair, the authority may appoint another member to be the deputy chair during the leave of absence. (sec.30-ssec.1) The Minister may approve a leave of absence for a member. (sec.30-ssec.2) The Minister may appoint another person to act in the office of the member during the leave of absence. (sec.30-ssec.3) Subsection (2) does not limit the power of the Governor in Council, under the Acts Interpretation Act 1954 , section 25 (1) (b) (v) to appoint a person to act in the office during the leave of absence. (sec.30-ssec.4) If the Minister approves a leave of absence for the deputy chair, the authority may appoint another member to be the deputy chair during the leave of absence.
