sec.44 Amending or replacing certificate of registration or certificate of permission to teach

An approved teacher who receives a relevant notice must, unless the teacher has a reasonable excuse, return the teacher’s certificate of registration or certificate of permission to teach to the college within 21 days after receiving the notice. Maximum penalty—10 penalty units. On receiving the certificate, the college must— amend it appropriately or issue a replacement certificate to the teacher; and return the amended or replacement certificate to the teacher. The effect of the amendment does not depend on the amendment being noted on the teacher’s certificate of registration or permission to teach.
