sec.280 Acting director
The Minister may appoint a person to act as the director— during a vacancy in that office; or during any period, or during all periods, when the director is absent from duty or can not, for another reason, perform the functions of that office. Subsection (1) does not limit the power, under the Acts Interpretation Act 1954 , section 25 (1) (b) (v) to appoint a person to act in the office. s 280 amd 2016 No. 46 s 124 (sec.280-ssec.1) The Minister may appoint a person to act as the director— during a vacancy in that office; or during any period, or during all periods, when the director is absent from duty or can not, for another reason, perform the functions of that office. (sec.280-ssec.2) Subsection (1) does not limit the power, under the Acts Interpretation Act 1954 , section 25 (1) (b) (v) to appoint a person to act in the office.
