The chief executive may change the conditions of the registration of a child for home education imposed by the chief executive if there is a reasonable basis to make the change. Before deciding to change the conditions, the chief executive must— give notice to a parent of the child stating— the particulars of the proposed change; and that the parent may make written submissions to the chief executive about the proposed change within a reasonable period of at least 21 days stated in the notice; and have regard to written submissions made to the chief executive by the parent within the stated period.
