#### 321 Qualification requirements for educators—children over preschool age 321 Qualification requirements for educators—children over preschool age > > (1) For the purposes of regulation 126(2), the qualification requirements for educators at a centre-based service educating and caring for children over preschool age are as follows— > > > > > (a) the first of every 2 educators required to meet the educator to child ratio for children over preschool age must be a qualified educator; and > > > > > (b) at least 1 of the qualified educators at the service must be a first qualified educator. > > > (2) In this regulation— > > > > first qualified educator means an educator who holds a qualification that is published under regulation 137(2) in the list of approved qualifications for first qualified educators working with children over preschool age for South Australia; > > > > qualified educator means an educator who— > > > > > (a) is a first qualified educator; or > > > > > (b) holds a qualification that is published under regulation 137(2) in the list of approved qualifications for second and subsequent qualified educators working with children over preschool age for South Australia. > > **Reg 321:** Subst 2024 (144), reg 5.
