344 Working with vulnerable people registration—staff members

344 Working with vulnerable people registration—staff members

(1) The approved provider of an education and care service must not engage a person as a staff member or nominated supervisor of that service unless the staff member or nominated supervisor holds a working with vulnerable people registration.

Penalty—

(a) for a large child care provider—$19,800; or

(b) otherwise—$6,600.

(2) The approved provider of an education and care service must ensure that a person who is 18 years of age or older who is a volunteer at the service holds proof that he or she holds a working with vulnerable people registration.

Penalty: $6600.
