250 Terms and conditions of appointment (1) The chief executive officer of the National Authority is to be appointed for a period, not more than 3 years, specified in the officer's appointment, but is eligible for reappointment. (2) A member of the Board cannot be appointed as chief executive officer. (3) Subject to this Law, the chief executive officer holds office subject to any terms and conditions that are decided by the Board. (4) The chief executive officer must not engage in paid employment outside the duties of his or her office without the approval of the Chairperson of the Board. (5) The Chairperson of the Board must notify the Chairperson of the Ministerial Council of any approval given under subsection (4). (6) The chief executive officer of the National Authority is taken, while holding that office, to be a member of the staff of the National Authority.
